The song of the mountains

We spent a week in France in April. I have a few stories to tell you but I am waiting for my blog upload tool to behave so that they make for easier reading… In the meantime, here is a little ditty I wrote while I was out walking in the mountains near the Col Du Tende on the French/Italian border… The scent of crushed thyme under my feet. The wooing of wild wind about my ears. These are the silent sounds of altitude. The sounds of a world pure and old…
